The bus into Alicante city centre stops just outside the apartment and takes just 15 minutes, the tram station is also just a short walk.  Heading south on the tram you’ll also end up in Alicante city centre but, heading north, the tram will take you all the way to Denia, stopping at all the larger towns along the northern Costa Blanca coast.
